About this notice

This notice covers the separate native Job Photos apps for iPhone, iPad and Android. It explains how the app handles your records, the permissions it uses and the separate Apple and Google services involved in purchases and advertising.

Jobs, photos and business details

Job titles, customer details, manually entered addresses, references, notes, photos, captions, pairings, annotations and your optional business profile are stored in the app’s private device storage. Job Photos has no account, hosted photo library, cloud sync, analytics SDK or runtime AI service. The developer does not receive your job content through the app. On iOS, device-level backups controlled by you or your operating system may include local app data. Android stores records under no-backup storage and excludes app data from Android cloud backup and device transfer; use Export backup to keep your own portable copy.

Permissions and photo dates

Camera access is requested when you choose Camera. The system photo picker gives the app the images you select without unrestricted library access. The app requests no microphone, contacts or location permission. Camera photos are not automatically added to your personal library. Source photos are retained and may contain EXIF location or other metadata. Import time and available source capture metadata are distinct; neither is independently verified.

Sharing and backup

Reports are generated locally. You choose when to open the share sheet and which destination to use. PDF images are re-encoded without source location metadata, but captions and selected visible addresses remain in the report. Backups include original photos and their metadata, job details, editable annotations and business settings. A .jobphotos backup is not encrypted by this format: checksums detect changes, they do not keep the contents secret. Store backups somewhere you trust. Recipients and destination services control their own copies.

Purchases

Apple processes Remove Ads purchases on iOS; Google Play processes them on Android, under each store’s terms and privacy notice. The iOS app uses StoreKit to verify transactions and current entitlement. The Android app queries Google Play Billing and verifies signed purchase evidence locally; it has no developer verification server. Pending or unverifiable purchases do not grant an entitlement, and unresolved purchase status suppresses ads. It does not receive your payment card details. The actual localised store price is displayed in the app. There is no subscription. Purchase and consent state are excluded from portable backups. Purchases do not transfer between Apple and Google.

Advertising

When configured and eligible, Google Mobile Ads displays an adaptive banner on the Jobs list. No advertising appears in reports, camera, editing or purchase screens. Google’s SDK documentation describes possible processing of IP addresses (including general location inference), app or device identifiers, diagnostics, performance information, ad impressions and interactions. Purposes include ad delivery, measurement and service improvement. We do not supply job content, photos, customer details, addresses, captions or filenames as ad targeting or logs.

Your advertising choices

The implementation disables ad personalisation and Google’s publisher first-party ID, requests non-personalised ads and does not request Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission. The Android manifest removes advertising ID, Topics and attribution permissions. These restrictions do not prevent all SDK identifiers or network processing. These controls do not mean zero data collection or remove consent requirements. Google’s User Messaging Platform refreshes consent information before eligible ad requests and presents required forms. Settings provides privacy choices when required. Consent errors pause ads. Verified Remove Ads purchasers do not need ad SDK initialisation. Your choices can be changed using Privacy choices in Settings when available; withdrawing consent does not remove access to the local job and reporting features.

Retention and local deletion

Local records remain until you delete them, remove the app or restore/delete device data. Use a job’s Delete action or Settings → Delete All Local Data to remove records, photos, annotations and business settings from the app. Temporary exports are cleared during app clean-up; Android removes exports older than 24 hours after a successful library open and removes temporary exports when all local data is deleted. Deletion does not retract shared files, remove external/device backups or erase store transactions. Remove Ads entitlement and advertising privacy choices are managed separately. See the data deletion instructions for practical steps.

Rights and questions

Where UK data protection law applies, rights may include access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, depending on the circumstances and legal basis. Consent can be withdrawn where processing relies on it. Contact the responsible organisation first about a concern; you may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. The developer cannot retrieve local job records from a server because Job Photos has no such server. Your use of customer information may carry separate responsibilities.

Contact and external services

Use https://rsw.io/contact for questions or privacy requests. This link leaves jobphotos.rsw.io for rsw.io, whose own policies apply there. Do not send customer photographs or backups unless you intentionally decide they are necessary. Apple and Google publish separate privacy information for their services.

Why information is processed

Our legitimate interests in delivering a secure website and responding to support requests; performance of a contract where needed to provide a requested service; consent for advertising storage or processing where required; and compliance with applicable legal obligations. Apple and Google describe their own processing and legal bases in their privacy notices

Service providers and retention

Hosting: Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.). This static site does not generate application-server logs. Cloudflare retains network and security information according to the purposes and legal obligations described in its privacy policy; retention varies by data category. Contact us about the information available for a specific request. We do not keep a separate copy of Google advertising identifiers or event logs. Google retains advertising and consent information under its published privacy and retention policies, with periods depending on the data, purpose and user controls. Security, fraud prevention and legal obligations may require longer retention.

International processing

Cloudflare, Google and Apple operate internationally and may process service data outside the UK or EEA, including in the United States. Their published privacy notices describe applicable transfer safeguards, including adequacy arrangements and contractual safeguards. Local job records are not sent to these providers by Job Photos
